A Brand-New Tuesday Morning Course for Babies from 10 Weeks

Introducing Baby Bug Hub at The Little Gym Chiswick

The first few months with a baby can feel strange, beautiful and overwhelming all at once, which is why a calm, supportive baby class can make such a difference. That’s
exactly why we’re so excited to launch Baby Bug Hub at The Little Gym Chiswick a brand-new space designed for babies aged 10 weeks and over and their parents experiencing those early months alongside them.

While early infancy can seem quiet from the outside, an extraordinary amount is happening beneath the surface. Babies are learning how to focus, process sound, recognise faces, respond to touch, and make sense of the world around them long before they can speak or crawl. Our first Baby Bug Hub course brings together sensory play, baby massage, and expert-led talks in a calm, welcoming space designed to support your baby’s early development while helping you feel connected, reassured, and part of a local community.

Looking Is Learning
Newborns do not see the world the way adults do. In the earliest weeks, their vision is still developing rapidly, which is why babies are naturally drawn to contrast, bold shapes, movement, and faces. Long before they can reach for objects or follow instructions, they are already studying the world around them with incredible intensity. Our very first Baby Bug Hub session will feature guest speaker Jen Fuller, Founder of Etta Loves, the brand she created after the birth of her daughter and a lightbulb moment that changed how she thought about babies and the world they see. Inspired by the discovery that new-borns experience the world very differently to adults, Jen invented the sensory muslin: a product designed specifically for the way
babies actually see in their earliest weeks and months. That single idea grew into Etta Loves, a science-led baby brand now trusted by over 100,000 families across the UK and US.

Jen works closely with vision experts to make sure every Etta Loves product is rooted in real developmental science, not just instinct or aesthetics. The result is a range of baby essentials that do more than look beautiful: they actively support what babies need most in their first year and help make parent’s days that bit easier.

A Space for Parents Too
Of course, babies are not the only ones going through enormous change during those first few months. Early parenthood can feel wonderful, emotional, exhausting, repetitive, and slightly surreal; sometimes all before 9 am. There’s also no shortage of advice. Everyone seems to have an opinion on naps, feeding, routines, wake windows, sensory toys, tummy time, and whether your baby knows his or her a, b, cs. Baby Bug Hub has been designed as the opposite of that pressure. Guided by Marlene, owner of The Little Gym Chiswick, our expert-led talks will give you the chance to listen and ask questions about the things that you’re spending hours googling. From developmental milestones, to sleep, weaning or what going back to work might look like, we’ve lined up trusted specialists to offer practical support. No judgement. No competitive parenting energy. No comparing babies across the
room. Just honest conversations, meaningful connections, and a chance to meet other local parents navigating the exact same stage of life. Because support matters.

Why Early Experiences Matter
At The Little Gym Chiswick, we’ve always believed that development works best when children feel safe, engaged, supported, and free to explore at their own pace. That begins far earlier than people often realise. Even at just a few weeks old, babies
are already beginning to:

  • Recognise familiar voices
  • Respond to touch and movement
  • Visually track objects
  • Build emotional security
  • Explore the world through sensory interaction

These early experiences help lay the foundations for confidence, communication, emotional regulation, and future learning. And often, through surprisingly simple moments. A familiar voice. Gentle movement. Eye contact. A new texture. A calm environment. A parent learning alongside them. These moments matter.
